Hi all,
Was at the Aquarama exhibition hall this afternoon.. Man.. was it hot.. everyone's busy setting up the infrastructure, booths, etc.. The excitement was the fish competition that was going to happen tomorrow. All participants were bringing in their respective fishes for the competition.. I saw some huge beautiful goldfishes, discus, etc… and not to mention… my personal favourite.. the AROWANA! :-) I have put together some of the photos I took today for your viewing pleasure.. Hope you like them…

Preparing the arowana tank 'Getting the tank ready to put the arowanas in.. It was hot in there! :-(

Acclimatizing the arowana Need to acclimatized the arowana with the water there before putting into the tank.. This can take some time..

Equalizing the temperature Need to equalize the water temperature in bag and tank before finally putting arowana in tank..

crossback arowana One of the beauties in the competition.. This is a x-back..

red arowana Another beauty.. A very red arowana..

Another red arowana in the competition.. What can I say?.. another red beauty..

Hello there Steven!
These photographs of the arowanas and the exhibition are a treat for those of us who cannot be there! Thanks a lot. I wish I was aware of the dates of this exhibition- maybe my husband and I could have been there. Maybe next year!
Keep up the good work.
Mangala

Hi steven

It is a good treat for arowana lovers who couldn't be at the exhibition to see all the photos you taken. Those are really great arowanas. Wish I could be there!! Maybe next year when I can plan earlier.

Good job. Well done.

It was excellent shots. It is unfortunate I will not be able to personally see these wonders. Steven, shall I expect more shots of Arowana and other fishes displayed in the exhibition?

Best regards – Unni

Wow, those are some beautiful fish. How big was the one in the middle – the really red one? Hard to tell from the photo.
